“ The best part is that I don't have to remember to go looking for grades, when new grades are available, an email says so. All I have to do is log on and type in my screen name and password. Then I am either pleasantly surprised or rather annoyed.”

RTHS debuts new website

Rochelle News - August 28, 2007

ROCHELLE – Rochelle Township High School has signed up with Edline to host its 2007-08 website. Edline is a service specializing in websites that improve communication between school and home.

Parents will still have access to the useful features of the school’s old website and more.
“Each staff member, parent, and student will have his/her own screen name (login) and password allowing them to ‘tunnel’ directly to the information that most relates to them,” Director of Computer Service Marty Brennan said. “For example, a parent logon will give you direct access to information about the classes, teams, and organizations to which your student belongs. A unique calendaring system will also show you only the dates of the games, performances, and meetings for your student.”

RTHS mailed parent activation codes the week of Aug. 20. Parents may be able to activate an account by following the instructions online.

During the school’s Sept. 10 Open House there will be Edline demonstrations in the auditorium. RTHS will host Edline Activation/Demonstration nights beginning Wednesday, Aug 29, from 7 to 8 p.m.

These nights are designed to help parents get started.

“We will use the computer labs in the English wing (A100) to help you activate your account,” Brennan said.
